Continually frustrated by the shortsighted railroading Thirlwell has done over the years. Periodically, his work is wiped from UA-cam, Spotify, etc. I'm really unsure what this angle is. Maybe he's not doing it. Maybe he doesn't want people to enjoy his music, maybe there's a want to battle off record labels, but the repeated wipes of his content from the internet is extremely limiting and disappointing. If he's expecting word of mouth to be what gives him sales...how? I've thought of buying his albums out of appreciation for the impact they've had on me. I kind of don't want to now.

JG has said that he thinks this song is haunted. The video is very, very clever and a bit disturbing. But it resolves itself with the milk, somehow.

Venture Brothers brought me here! I love the misfit styles he combines in his works. It's almost like multiple personalities taking over abruptly (kind of like Mr. Bungle). It will go from "normal" movie soundtrack music to exploding into manic acid jazz, but then he mixes in theremins or modern sounds and synthesizers; it's like musical mad science.

OMG, is this fantastic or what. The originals are all good too but the reworkings w/ the ensemble= Bomb. It's like a revision of the original, so as to make it new again. Nail was like the 2nd record I ever bought @ 15 yr. old. Haven't regretted it since.

True Story. Tatters and Platters in Mpls- alt record shop- I went there and randomly bought 2 albums- Bad Brains Rock for Light/ Foetus Nail. They were the first 2 albums I ever bought in Alternative music as I was just getting into Goth and Punk. BB was a classic and still is to this day- But Nail, was a masterpiece. I literally listened to it for years. I still spin it on occasion. Been a huge fan ever since and never tire of his output. It's a shame more people don't know who Thirlwell is b/c he's probably one of my favorite singers. This is a great reimagining of what was my favorite song on the album. A Weird Aussie who lives in Dumbo- who woulda knew, lol. Thanks for everything- LOVE YOUR STUFF!!!!

An absolute genius. Jim's wordsmithery is amazing and what a musician. I enjoyed many concerts. Just a shame he was such an absolute arsehole to meet as a fan....

Even for Jim, this is dark and the stuff of nightmares..... but as always utterly compelling. I so admire his musianship and artistic talent. Just wish he'd been a nicer person when I met him....

Just discovered Thirwel tonight! I'm a Einsturdenze Neubauten fan and just decided to look up bands and musicians which Google claims are "similar".... ...and that's how I came across Foetus, Clint Ruin and all of the other Thirlwel projects. He is so far ahead of his time, it really is incredible. Seems that Trent Reznor and his NIN were derived from everything that Thirlwel has ever done before them. I will definitely be adding all of Thirlwel's music to my playlists. Ironically, my most favorite music that I listen to today I discovered in a similar manner.... by chance. Seems it was meant to be.
